In navigating into the next phase of my career, as of March earlier this year, I have stepped away from the piano chair of Southern Cross Soloists.

A brief message as follows.

“After six and a half years of countless concerts and magical artistic experiences, it is with bittersweet feelings that I depart from the SxS piano chair.

I would like to thank all of the SxS musicians (past and present) for their collaboration and beautiful friendships. Many thanks to the amazing management and to the team at QPAC, Bangalow Music Festival and the numerous touring venues that I have had the pleasure to play in during my time with SxS. Finally, thank you to Tania Frazer for welcoming me into the SxS family and for the countless opportunities over the years.”

Thank you Australian Stage Online for the kind words about my recitals last week with Alexandra Flood for Opera Queensland.

“Raineri’s playing increases in stature every time I hear him. He is so relaxed now, letting the piano speak and the phrases breathe, and conveys a striking command of the architecture of the music.”

Thank you Limelight 🥰

“Alex Raineri is a gifted and very fine pianist, technically accomplished with first-rate attention to detail. He produced some truly beautiful, considered playing and ravishing harmonics. He is both a terrific accompanist, as well as a fine soloist in his own right. His playing of both the softer passages, predominantly in the French repertoire of Debussy and Ravel, as well as the delightful Heggie work, alongside such fiendishly fast and difficult pieces as the Dvořák Gypsy songs and Rachmaninov songs, was exemplary. The piano certainly came into its own in many of the delicate and fiery works.”
