I had the pleasure today of ‘playing orchestra’ for In Yi Chai, an incredibly talented young violinist who gave an electrifying performance of Ysaye and a gorgeous rendition of the Barber Violin Concerto.

A selection of Joseph Canteloube's breathtaking 'Songs of the Auvergne' featuring soprano Sara Macliver and Alex Raineri Pianist. The last of our 2019 festival highlights we'll share before a rather big announcement tomorrow 😉
At the heart of the 2019 festival was 'bloodpaths', an incredibly special project featuring Katina Olsen (dancer / choreographer), Alex Raineri Pianist (pianist / curator) and Ben Hughes (lighting designer). 25 breathtaking works were commissioned from some of Australia's leading composers, resulting in a totally hypnotic 90 minute journey of contemporary dance and contemporary music.
We are super proud to be able to share this small taste of what the show was, and we are excited to be in further development of the show through 2020. Stay tuned for further performance / tour dates when the the global climate permits!!
