'A Mother Reserves the Right' is an aria from Australian composer Sebastian Harris’ opera 'Otsukaresama'. It speaks of the loss of a child from the perspective of a mother. Harris is a compelling young Australian composer, with a particular penchant for vocal music. He has had numerous major Australian orchestras and opera companies collaborate on his work and has worked a number of times with soprano Jenna Robertson.
